Testing Rules

Students must be up to date on tuition & meet all sparring attendance requirements in order to test.

Students are REQUIRED to have all appropriate patches on their uniforms prior to testing. Students should wear a clean, neat, stain free uniform to testing along with their belt (dee). Students with dirty uniforms, missing patches, and no belt will NOT be allowed to test.

Arrive 15-20 minutes early to check in, stretch, warm up, & use the restroom. After doing so, students should sit quietly at the back of the room until called to line up. 

​Students who arrive after we have bowed in will NOT be allowed to test.

Students will be asked their Terminology questions prior to the start of testing. Students must get all questions correct in order to earn a Terminology Stripe. 

Students should answer up loudly & show good effort and spirit during testing. 

Students are expected to stay for the entire test. If there is an emergency, please notify a Black Belt or one of the Instructors.

Students who pass will be promoted immediately following testing. Students who do not pass will be notified privately, immediately following testing.

If you make a mistake during testing, THAT'S OK! No one is perfect. We expect mistakes. Keep going and give your best effort.

Parents/Guardians/Siblings/Family/Friends: please remain respectful of the testers, keep conversations to a minimum, and remain seated during testing. You are welcome and encouraged to clap for a job well done! Due to space constraints, only TWO guest are allowed per student. Please limit young/small children.

Guest are welcome and encouraged to take photos & videos. We ask that you PLEASE tag us on Facebook & Instagram!

Please leave our do jang tidier than you found it. No outside food or drinks are allowed inside the do jang. This applies to those testing as well as guest. Thank you!
